Learn more about rent control

What does Rent Board do?

People have been asking me what the Berkeley Rent Board does. The Rent Board has two roles. It oversees the "agency" through its appointment of the director of the Rent Board. It has to approve the budget and determine the annual fee. The Rent Board Commissioners draft and approve regulations as well as hear appeals.
